Internal communications can take several forms

Situated in Østbirk, Denmark, LKR Innovation House serves as the VELUX future hub for research and development. By transforming this historic space and reusing the materials it was originally built from, instead of constructing something new, we aspire to lead the way in showcasing the potential of renovation towards a far more sustainable approach to buildings. Internal communications were quite significant in such a project as the renovation would bring a new workspace for many employees located in Østbirk. Therefore, the main approach for the whole transformation process was being transparent. It was not only one way of communication but we built a dialogical approach where employees could also share their expectations. Internal communications strategy and projects consist of multichannel communication shaped by the type of information. One significant project within was to transform a container into an experience box, where we communicated the process adopting a multi-sensory approach using materials from the building, integrating a VR experience, and sharing project visuals.
